I am an Occupational Therapist since 2002. I am employed by NHS and the Royal Free Hospital as Head of Children and Young People’s Therapies leading the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Neonatal Speech and Language Therapist and the Acute Dietetics departments . I also work as a freelance OT offering my services to Children and Young People but also offering clinical and managerial support to health professionals as well as mentorship. I am registered with the Sensory Integration Network as a clinical mentor. Previously I have worked in various settings such as diagnostic Services, schools, private practices and homes as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist and Allied Health Professions manager.

I am working with Children and Young People autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Mental Health, Severe Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs. I am highly experienced in working with children with complex sensory needs and behaviours of concern.  I am certified with a Diploma in Ayres Sensory Integration®, a passionate supporter of parent coaching, family centred and strengths-based approach.

I work in partnership with families, schools and other services and offer support face to face or remotely at three different levels of support:

Universal level of support: Designed to support the whole population of the school. Example of this can be training on specific area, an audit to see at which level the school supports sensory needs or a Universal handwriting programme.

Targeted level of support: designed to support children and Young People with needs that cannot be met by the Universal level of support. Examples of this can be group intervention or a parent workshop of a specific class

Specialist level of support: designed for children and Young People that require individualised support. Examples of this are a sensory activities schedule tailored on the child’s needs, parent coaching on support with independence in self-care or home safety adaptations.
